Shanti (from Sanskrit: 'be calm') means peace, rest, calmness, tranquility, or bliss
After yoga practice we commonly chant Shanti three times and it is a beautiful sound (try for yourself and make the 3rd Shanti longer)
We chant it three times to manifest Peace individually, collectively and universally and we chant it with the well-known OM (AUM) sound: OM Shanti Shanti Shanti
ॐ OM Facts
ॐ is OM written in sanskrit
OM is pronounced AUM
The meaning of OM can be hard to grasp and some even say it has no meaning in a traditional sense
OM is considered to be the primeval sound, the sound of the universe, the sound from which all other sounds are formed. In this way, chanting OM can be thought of as a universal sound and when chanted we create vibrations manifesting that we are all one
OM should just be felt, not understood with our intelligence
