It's Sunday and the plum rain has arrived in Shanghai. Not much to do this Dragon Boat Festival Weekend... An absolute perfect opportunity to stay in, drink green tea & plan our summer travels out of Shanghai.
See I'm one of those persons who absolutely LOVE Shanghai 99 % of the time... If I manage to get out of Shanghai often enough that is. Me and Leon always try to get out of Shanghai at least once a month - even for just a day-trip. Get some inspiration here.
Another Trip To Denmark
I also try to go back to Denmark at least 2 times a year which may sound a bit boring considering all the amazing Asia travel destinations out here.. But I'm just absolutely addicted to seeing my family for DK-summer-times as well as for our traditional Christmas-hygge-times ("hygge" is our famous Danish word, google it).
If I don't go back often enough, I have a really hard time "defending" & understanding why & how I can live so far away from some of my closest ones. Especially away from my niece Sofia, this little Angel child...
After my last visit home in April I wrote a post about how I actually feel that the distance makes my relationships with my family members stronger, more appreciated & filled with more happy moments when we are together (and I'm all about happy moments). Read the post here.
In the spirit of staying happy & healthy in Shanghai as well as seeing how much Sofia's changed since she turned 1 (I saw her last time in April and she turned 1 here in June but they say babies have really short memories so I really have to hurry back) I'm heading back to Denmark in just 2 weeks!

Oh And A Trip to Bali
From Denmark I'll go straight to Bali. Oh yes my very first visit to Bali - the so-called Surf & Yoga Haven. My BF absolutely loves Indonesia and he's almost as hooked to show me Indo as he is to show me his home country New Zealand (just almost).
I want to share this little spot we will stay at for some of our time in Indonesia - a little secret get-away opened by some young cool people my BF knows. Living the dream: moving to Indo to open a chilled guesthouse surrounded by ocean, nature & all the time in the world... (how I imagine it must feel to live in a place so close to my definition of paradise). Check below youtube video from the place called Merdeka House in West Sumbawa, Indonesia.
Return tickets from Shanghai to Indonesia are surprisingly cheap (my BF got his for around 4000 RMB) and living costs seems ridiculously cheap: say hello to 140 RMB/night to stay in a guesthouse with this view...
And a Bit of Future Planning (Visualization goes under planning, right?)
I'm so excited about going to Indonesia with beach, sun & yoga. And a surf lesson or two!
And not least to go and experience this place Merdeka House that from a distance seems like a project I dream about doing in the future: opening a simpler resort/guest house focusing on nature's luxury, happy vibes and in addition my place would be all about holistic health (yoga, TCM, mindfulness and good food)! Then all my friends & acquaintances from Shanghai as well as friends & family from Denmark and other places in the world could come for a WELL-CATION-STAY and visit me at the same time... #VISUALIZATION #IS #VERY #STRONG
