Living in Shanghai is amazing. I personally believe that this place is one of the most interesting, fascinating and exciting places to live right now. This clash of the West & the East, the contrasts of the Old and the New and this fast paced development that both amazes aaaand sometimes makes you wonder if everything is really under control in this place...
Living in Shanghai is also exhausting... The daily pollution discussion as well as lots of smoggy days, the never-ending crowds that give you the feeling that you are constantly walking out from a football match or a concert and the lack of nature that can make you oh so depressed!
This winter I spent my Christmas & New Year back home. With my family all over Denmark: in the capital Copenhagen, the oldest city Ribe, on the country side in Jutland and on Aarø one of the tiniest island you can find in Denmark. I can not express how much living in Shanghai makes me appreciate my roots, my family and Denmark. So fresh, happy and comfortable.
I also spent the last 3 weeks without social media which was a big challenge the first couple of days where after it felt so freeing and almost turned into a habit. Today I'm flying back to Shanghai and of course I'm back on the blog :-)
Happy New Year from Shanghaihabits <3
